God damn if I didn’t just finish reading Franny & Zooey for the first time yesterday. Putting that together with Catcher and Bananafish now it so clear why Salinger was such a bear to be around and why he felt the same about everyone else.
Though I was truly uplifted by F&Z’s ending. He knew there was a way out of your head if you wanted to find it.
Favorite book ever, though not the edition pictured.
Next, go rewatch The Royal Tennenbaums with that book fresh in mind!
